Bengal Govt elevates IPS Ajay Mukund Ranade to DGP (Law and Order)
The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education has officially announced that the Madhyamik 2026 results will be published on May 8, just days after the completion of the West Bengal Assembly election vote counting. The declaration has brought relief to nearly 9.5 lakh students awaiting their Class 10 results.
According to the board, the results will be released in the first week of May after the election process concludes on May 4. While the exact time of result publication and the websites for accessing marks have not yet been disclosed, the board has confirmed that these details will be announced before May 8.
This year’s Madhyamik examinations were conducted from February 2 to February 12, earlier than usual due to the state election schedule. The board maintained its standard timeline of publishing results within 90 days of the examinations, ensuring that academic processes remained uninterrupted despite administrative challenges.
Officials stated that answer scripts of all subjects have already been submitted and are currently undergoing final verification and scrutiny. The evaluation process is being closely monitored at four major centres, including Bidhannagar, Midnapore, Bardhaman, and Siliguri, to ensure accuracy before final result publication.
